Site: the Legacy Olympic Park, Stratford, East London
Brief: ‘Living bridge’ crossing over River Lea. Design a structure of our choice as a response to the research, into the relationship between the site, the surrounding area, and those who interact with the environment. The design will engage with issues such as diversity, sustainability, and ecology.
Client: Referring to my research, Client is a group of people and their children living locally within the area of five surrounding legacy site boroughs. They derive from different communities and different backgrounds but all are eager to make changes in their and their children’s lives by continuous broadening their horizons.
Concept: Inspired by the site itself, brief and the client emerged the design around the inventive use of light and colour concentrating on depiction of the form of surrounding areas by representing common combination of lines and volumes embodied in interlacement of elements within structure of urban fabric. Proposed building will constitute about integrity between different cultures and life styles, maturity and youth. With its incorporated interactive playground for children and lecturing spaces for the adults ‘living bridge’ will serve a purpose of representing the idea of “life long learning”.
The bridge will be based in a place where in the far future will always be remembered as being an ex olympic site.
Sports has always been an inspiration for everyone especially young ones when they look up to very well known sport stars. The bridge will be a good place to get people together to take part in various sport activities and win prices, educate the public especially youngsters about sports, fitness, and its importance in life.
It is all about energy, strength, freedom and especially Movement that would be used as an inspiration for my bridge.

Exchanging, integrating cultivating knowledge, within the social network of the surrounding areas Reinforcing links within a social structure that reflects multiple cultural forms, within its space and intertwines the natural process of living and growing
